Wesley E. Bohn, age 86 of Mondovi, WI died Thursday, February 26, 2015 at The Lake Hallie Memory Center in Lake Hallie, WI.
Wesley was born March 14, 1928 in Watseka, IL to Arthur and Edna Bohn. Wes was a high school graduate from Watseka, IL and following entered in to the U.S. Army. Upon returning from his stint in the service he bought a bar and restaurant in IL that he ran for numerous years.
He owned a Hobby Farm and found a love for the outdoors and sunshine as well as every aspect of the farm life. His most favorite activity on the farm, next to mowing, was training horses. He continued to train horses until he was 73. He was a strong, hardworking man that always made the best of any new challenge in his life. Wes always enjoyed fixing and building things and could be seen on his lawn mower taking care of everyone's grass in the neighborhood. He did not have a big family but had a great ability to create family through the many wonderful people he had come across in his lifetime. He was the most loving and supporting father and grandfather. His pride and joy was his grandson Lyle Bohn.
Wesley is survived by his children, Serena (Travis Christopherson) Bohn of Mondovi, Web Bohn of IL, Rebecca Bohn of IL and Amy (Bohn) Cannon of IL; one grandson Lyle Bohn; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
A Private Family Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
