Veryl Junior Loewenhagen, age 62, of Waumandee, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.
He was born on August 21, 1956 in Arcadia to the late Veryl Samuel and Vera Clara (Marty) Loewenhagen.
Junior attended and graduated with the Arcadia High School class of 1975. He honorably served the United States as a member of the United States Army.
On July 1, 1978 Junior took the hand in marriage of Christine “Tina” Fernholz at Montana United Methodist Church. To this loving union, three children were born.
Junior was a longtime and devoted employee at Bauer-bilt Tire in Durand. He began his employment on September 6, 1979.
Junior was a member of the Forrest-Gundersen-Klevgard American Legion in Gilmanton.
Junior was an avid hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed a good game of cards or spending summer night pitching horseshoes with his family and friends. Junior, a light hearted and loving man, loved to dance, especially with his wife and family. Junior loved to celebrate holidays throughout the year, but the Christmas holiday season was his most favorite and evident by the many lights and decorations that surrounded his home in Waumandee.
Junior had soft heart, sweet smile and an ability to start a conversation with anyone. But the most treasured memory will be his love for family, especially his grandchildren.
Junior is survived by his wife, Tina, of Waumandee; children, Lyn (Tabitha) of Waumandee, LeAnne (Kevin) Heller of Alma and Leslie (Sheena) of Cochrane; 12 grandchildren; 7 sisters, Barb, Bonnie, Charlene, Sue, Judy, Shelby and Nancy; also by many nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
Besides his parents, Junior was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Arnie and Neil.
A memorial service to celebrate the Life of Junior will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 11:00 AM at The Talbot Family Funeral Home, Alma Chapel with Tom Elliot presiding. A time of visitation and support for Junior's family will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the services all at the funeral home.
