Verna Nadine Burchard

Verna Nadine Burchard, age 91 passed away at her home in Alma, WI on April 16, 2024 surrounded by her family.  Verna was born on February 24, 1933 to Herman and Wava (Jefferson) Luck in New Hartford, IA. Verna married Bennie Burchard, and they had five children.   Verna moved to Wisconsin in 1987.   She enjoyed making doll houses and furniture.  Also enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, painting, and watching Jeopardy.  Verna loved being a grandmother, and enjoyed her 44 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.  Verna is survived by her children, Steve Burchard, Sydney Burchard, Sybil (Kenny) Klopp, and Colleen Dahl (Larry Michaels).  Verna was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Cherry Burchard, grandson, William Levers, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.  A celebration of life for Verna will be at Gilmanton Legion – W736 County Road B – Mondovi, WI on June 15, 2024 at 12:00PM – 5:00PM.
