Tammy Jean Lorenz, 35, of Buffalo City, Wis., passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012, unexpectedly. She was born Sept. 8, 1976, in Cudahy, Wis., a daughter of Tim J. and Bonnie J. (Mishefske) Pfeffer, Sr. Tammy attended Cochrane-Fountain City Schools, graduating with the class of 1994. On July 29, 1995, Tammy was united in marriage to Rick Lorenz, a wedding that was held at his parent’s home in Cochrane. To this union, they raised two children. Recently, Tammy was employed at MC Sports as the sales manager located in La Crosse. She also provided day care at her home for families in the area. Tammy enjoyed playing cards, especially Texas Hold-em, shopping with her daughter, Miranda, (affectionately known as “Randa“). She also enjoyed fishing and spending time on the Mississippi River. Tammy will always be remembered as a lady with a humane and caring heart, a wonderful personality and mostly a deep love, devotion for her loving children and was proud to be their mom. Tammy will be forever missed but always remembered by her husband of the past 17 years, Rick of Buffalo City; her two loving children, Andrew Lorenz, New Port, Va., currently serving in the United States Army; and Miranda Lorenz, at home in Buffalo City; her beloved parents, Tim and Bonnie Pfeffer, Sr. of Cochrane; her sister, Crystal (Brian) Lewandowski of Cochrane and her “baby” brother, Timmy (Valarie, his fiancée) Pfeffer, Jr. of Cochrane; mother-in-law, Dolores Lorenz; also by many aunts and uncles who loved her dearly, along with cousins, other relatives and so many friends. Preceding Tammy in death are her maternal and paternal grandparents and her father-in-law. A celebration of life ceremony honoring the life of Tammy will be held Sunday, July 15, at 2 p.m. at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Alma Chapel. Burial will follow at Buffalo City Cemetery. A time of visitation and support for Tammy’s family will be held on Sunday from 11 a.m. until the hour of the ceremony at the funeral home.
