Tamara Lynn Fossum-Geiger

Tamara Lynn Fossum-Geiger, age 55, of Buffalo City, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 26th, 2025, surrounded by her family on a beautiful, sunny morning.

Tammy lived her life with an unstoppable spirit, fueled by love, laughter, and family. She devoted her life to raising her two sons, Dillon and Mason; taking them anywhere and everywhere they wanted to go. She truly believed it took a village to raise children, a value she not only preached but lived by every day. Her home operated with an open-door policy, always making sure the fridge was stocked with food and drinks and ensuring that none of her sons’ friends ever left hungry. Her home was a place where everyone was welcome, and everyone was loved.

Once her boys were old enough, she began working as a CNA at Winona Health where she stayed for 15 years, caring for her patients with the same incredible compassion and heart she always showed her family.

Tammy was a dedicated wife to her husband, George. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, adventure, and family. Regardless of life's challenges, her love for George stood strong, unshakable, and proud. They recently began DoorDashing, which quickly became one of their favorite things to do together, spending time driving around, talking, laughing, and simply enjoying the small moments that made their bond so special.

Above all else, Tammy was an extraordinary mother. She poured her heart and soul into raising her sons, ensuring they knew they were loved, supported, and capable of anything. She affectionately called them "Dibber" and "M-Dog" - nicknames filled with the warmth, humor, and deep love she carried for her boys. Her hard work and belief in them paid off: Dillon is a Composite Engineer and Mason is a Lieutenant in the fire service. Her pride in her sons was endless, and their successes are a lasting testament to the incredible woman she was.

In her final months, Tammy found immense joy in becoming a Grandmother. Boden and Levi brought her so much happiness, whether it was seeing little Boden’s face light up on FaceTime or holding baby Levi close. Her pure love for them showed through every smile, laugh, and proud glance she gave.

Tammy always had a way of seeing the good in everyone. Her happy-go-lucky spirit brought light to every room she entered. She was fond of the simple things in life, like shopping for purses, clothing, and shoes; always with a soft spot for anything in her favorite pattern: camo. She cherished boat rides on the mighty Mississippi, taking in the beauty of the water, the sunsets, and the peaceful moments with her family. One of her greatest joys during Christmas was curling up to watch Hallmark movies, letting their messages of love, hope, and togetherness fill her heart. She also had a deep passion for country music, songs that spoke to her soul and reflected the strength, stories, and heart she carried within her. Another passion of Tammy’s was mowing the lawn on her John Deere zero-turn mower, carefully crafting the yard into a perfect checkerboard pattern, taking pride in making her home look beautiful.

Tammy ensured that every detail, big or small, was right for those close to her; always striving for perfection, not for herself, but for the people she loved. Her fierce loyalty, endless love, and ability to find beauty in life's simplest blessings made her truly one of a kind.

Tammy’s legacy will be one of love, humor, and unwavering devotion, living on in her family and all those blessed enough to have known her.

Tammy is survived by her loving family – her Mother Bonnie Fossum of Winona, MN; Husband George Geiger of Buffalo City, WI; sons Dillon (Natalie and grandson Levi) Geiger of Galesville, WI; Mason (Brialle and grandson Boden) Geiger of Dickinson, ND; sisters Shonna (Karl) Muller of Red Wing, MN; Kim (Doug) Luehmann of Holmen, WI; nieces Kayla (Sean and their children Atlas and Midas) Blackie; Shelby (Dora) Muller; nephews Jake (Lisa and their children Miles, Cal, and Cora) Luehmann; and Eric (fiancé Sara Beckendorf) Luehmann.
