Shannon Kay Seifert, age 35 of Alma, passed away unexpectedly due to medical complications on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. She was born on November 14, 1982, on Grandpa Seifert’s birthday, in Wabasha, MN, the daughter of Michael and Nancy (Herold) Seifert. Shannon graduated from Alma High School in 2001. She worked as a CNA at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center. An avid Green Bay Packer fan and also hunted. Shannon loved to travel and was able to go to two Packer games. She was devoted to her family and friends and spent time with them as much as possible. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her parents, Mike and Nancy of Nelson; younger brother, Joe of Nelson; older brother, Michael (Karen) of Portland, ND; nephews, Thomas and Sean; maternal grandparents, Alton and Gladys Herold; aunts, Sandy Herold and Tracie Herold; uncle, Dan Herold; cousin, Caleb Herold; best friend, Kari Dillinger; fur baby, Gracie the cat; other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents and godmother and Aunt, Pat.
A funeral service will be held at Lyster Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 11:00 am with Shannon’s sister-in-law, Pastor Karen Seifert officiating. Burial to immediately follow at Nelson Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Talbot Family Funeral Homes, Alma Chapel on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 pm and then again at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the service.
The family would like those coming to the visitation on Friday and the service on Saturday to wear your Packers attire in honor of Shannon’s love of the Green Bay Packers.
