Ruth A. Boettcher, age 66, of Cochrane, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Monday, December 5, 2016 at the Mayo Health Systems in Rochester. She was born on July 16, 1950 in Winona, MN, the daughter of Irvin and Bonnie (Marg) Wadewitz. Ruth was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church, Cream and recently Christ Lutheran Church, Cochrane. She married Levi Boettcher on September 24, 1983 in Cream. Ruth was able to spend 19 years together until his death on July 27, 2002. She was a former Sunday school teacher. Ruth was a member of the Cochrane-Buffalo City Lions Club, acting as a secretary and VFW Auxiliary 10406 – Cochrane. She was a part of the ladies aid and aid association for Lutherans Lifetime and held various offices.
Ruth will be sadly missed by her sons, Bradley (Margret) Christianson and Mark (Allison) Christianson; daughter, Bonnie (Scott) Herold; 6 grandchildren, Arielle, Chelsey, Ryan, Mara, Levi and Cody; great-grandson, Ian; brothers, Earl (Jane)Wadewitz, Dale Wadewitz, Loren (Kristi) Wadewitz; special friends, Deb and Mike Gleason; other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Richard Wadewitz and Perry Wadewitz.
A funeral service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, Cochrane on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mark Wilde officiating. Burial to immediately follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Cream. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
