Roy David Mueller

Roy David Mueller, age 73, of La Crosse formerly of Alma, WI passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. He was born on August 21, 1943 in the Town of Belvidere, Buffalo County, WI a son of the late Alvin and Wilma (Hammer) Mueller. Roy attended Alma Area Schools graduating with the Alma High School class of 1961. Roy was married to Betty Herold in 1965. To this marriage, three children were born. They later divorced. Roy was employed at Ruan Truck Leasing in both of Madison and La Crosse and then Rich’s Truck Service of Goodview, MN and lastly he was employed at Kwik Trip of La Crosse until his retirement. Roy enjoyed fishing, traveling, watching the classic cartoons like Loony Tunes and Tom & Jerry with his favorite character being Wile E. Coyote. His greatest enjoyment would have to be for his grandchildren and his great granddaughter, quite simply they were his pride and joys. Roy will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Tammy (Karl) Parpart of Winona and Holly Mueller of La Crosse; granddaughters, Heidi (Corey Wolfe) Mueller of La Crosse and Makayla Kolinski of Tomah; great granddaughter, Autumn Mueller of La Crosse; two sisters, Elenor Kuhn of Hastings, MN and Vera Mueller of Cochrane, WI; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his loving son, Jeff Mueller, two sisters, Anna Dienger and Erma Marquardt; two brothers, Alvin, Jr and Herbert. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Cochrane Chapel with Pastor Greg Ferriss of St. John's United Church of Christ, Fountain City, officiating. Inurnment will follow at Buffalo City Cemetery. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
