Roy Norman Hoch, age 95 of Mondovi, died on June 8, 2017 while at the Home Place Assisted Living Center in Mondovi.
Roy was born on May 11, 1922 in Mondovi the son of Louis and Selma (Jahn) Hoch. He later married his wife, Eleanor Berger on May 16, 1944 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Durand.
Roy worked most of his life around the Mondovi area and for many years sold seed corn for PAG and member of NFO. He enjoyed bowling with his wife, hunting, fishing and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren. Roy retired at 62 and moved to Solon Springs before moving back with his wife in 1995 to the Mondovi area.
Roy is survived by 10 children, Donald (Barb) Hoch of Janesville, Alan (Joanne) Hoch of Boyceville, Susan (Gerry) Reck of Harvard, IL, Norman (Beverly) Hoch of Arcadia, Randy (Yolanda) Hoch of Elk Mound, Janelle (David) Risler of Mondovi, Jon Hoch (Judy McKean) of Eau Claire, Karen (Michael) Clark of Merrill, Valynda "Lyndy" (Scott) Olson of Glenwood City and Joseph (Deb) Hoch of Baldwin; 31 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Gertrude
Hoch of Mondovi and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eleanor in October of 2009; a son, Leon in 1963; a granddaughter, Gwen Marie Hoch; three brothers, Curtis, Laverne and Merlin Hoch and one sister, Irene Brownell.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to the family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the American Legion Hall, Post 6711, 239 E. Hudson St., Mondovi, WI.
