Roger Will Loesel

Roger Will Loesel, age 88, of Cochrane, Wis died on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at his home with his family close by. Roger was born on November 28, 1926 in Jahn’s Valley, Buffalo County, WI a son of Emil and Emma Loesel. On May 4, 1949 Roger married Gloria Rothering at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Alma, WI. Roger honorably served our country in the United States Army He was employed at A.H. Rohrer, United States Postal Service and later retired from the U.S. Corp of Engineers. He was known as “Swamp Buck” by his many friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and trapping. His biggest enjoyment was being with his family; Children, grandchildren and great grandchildren telling his stories of his life experiences. Roger will be dearly missed by his wife of the past 65 years, Gloria of Cochrane; children, Denny (Denise) of Winona, MN, Terry (Linda) Loesel of Alma, WI, Deb Krumholz and Mike Loesel both of Cochrane; nine grandchildren, Tom(Joy) Loesel, Ryan (Jessica) Loesel, Chris Loesel, Kelly (Jim) Tague, Jessica (Matt) Sylvester, Angela (Cedric) Stacy, Travis (Liz) Krumholz, Matt (Megan) Krumholz and Nick Krumholz; twelve wonderful great grandchildren; sisters in law, Fern Loesel and Shirley Becker; brother in law Lonnie Rothering; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding Roger in death are his parents, brothers Howard and Milan and sisters, Alice Schmidt and Goldie Mueller; granddaughter Michelle Loesel and son in law Tom Krumholz. A memorial service will be held on Friday April 24, 2015 at 1:00 PM the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Cochrane Chapel A memorial gathering will be held on Friday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service all at the funeral home.
