Robert Lee Oesau

Robert Lee Oesau age 75 of Buffalo City, Wi passed away peacefully at home from a battle with liver cancer on June 23,2024. He was born on

Nov.4,1948 to the late Herman and Delores(Mueller) Oesau.

 Bob graduated from Mondovi High School class of 1966. He entered the Marine Corp right after graduating and served until 1968. He served in Vietnam. When he returned to the US he moved to Racine WI, after a few years he moved back to Buffalo county. On May 8,1971 he married Bonnie Christianson and in 1988 they adopted their daughter Christina. In 1994 they divorced. Bob reconnected with Lois Steiner Gerth in 2000 and have been together even since, they had dated as teenagers.

 Bob enjoyed deer hunting, trapping, coon hunting, trapping snaping turtles and he Commerical fished for many years. He went on several hunting trips out west. He had fond memories of his mule "Fritz" and his coon dogs while coon hunting. Bob enjoyed going to Mazatlan, Mexico for over 30 years.

 Bob had many jobs in his life, owned his own sewer business for over

30 years, work for the Corp of Engineers, drove truck for Dairyland Power, Warren Barth and Al Sobotta.

 Bob is survived by his partner Lois, his daughter Christina, his granddaughter Chloe, brothers Jerry(Joan), Craig(Kathy), sister

Susie(Jeff) Klaus, brother-in-law Tom Teigen, ex-wife Bonnie and Lois's daughter Jenny Gerth-Barum, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

 Bob was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Delores Oesau and sister Judy Teigen.

 Bob's family would like to thank the VA of Tomah, Gundersen Health System and St. Croix hospice for all their help during Bob's illness.

 Celebration of Life will take place on July 20, 2024 at the Lost Pirate, Buffalo City, WI from 2-6.
