Robert William Blum

Robert William Blum, 93, in Winona, MN and formerly from Fountain City and Pine Creek, WI passed away on May 6, 2024 at Sugar Loaf Senior Living in Winona, MN.

Robert was born on July 10, 1930, to Walter and Elna (Mueller) Blum in the township of Milton, Buffalo County. He married Carol Mahlman on November 26, 1955 at St John’s United Church of Christ in Fountain City, WI. They had 3 girls, Lori (Randy) Maier Buffalo City, WI, Kathy Scow Arcadia, WI and Tammy(Fred) Moga Kiester, MN. They had 4 grandchildren, Nathan (Katie) Maier, Crystal (Anthony) Dienger, Eric (Erin Ziemer) Scow and Stacy (Tim Dahl) Scow. They had 4 great-grandchildren Ryan, Blake, Marisa Maier and Mariah Scow.

Robert served his country in the United States Army from 1953-1955. Robert was a farmer helping many local neighbors and family mainly with his brother Earl. Robert was a dairy farmer proudly buying his first farm near Pine Creek, WI in May 1969. He loved hunting, fishing, dancing, playing cards and visiting friends and family. After selling the farm in 1986 he worked in Winona, MN at Behren until his retirement.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carol in 2018; Brothers Earl and Ralph Blum; sisters Betty Ann Blum, Fern Kiese, Mary Lisowski and Darlene Lisowski; brother-in-laws Harold Kiese, Laverne Lisowski.

Funeral visitation will be at Talbot Family Funeral Homes in Cochrane, WI on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 10:00 AM prior to funeral services at 11:00 AM. Burial will at Buffalo City Cemetery, Buffalo City, WI following funeral services.
