Robert Daniel Baures, Sr.

Robert (Bob) Daniel Baures Sr. age 76 passed away January 23, 2024. 

Born June 10, 1947 in Winona, MN to Daniel J. Baures and Mary (Wenzel) Baures.  He was preceded in death by his mother and father, half-brother Tom Dureske, Jerry / Cookie, and Half-sister Jolene Dureske Ewings (Gary).

Survived by a very special loving friend and partner of 36 years Sheila Lind.  Also, sister Judy (Baures) Campbell and husband John of Fountain City, WI.  Also, son Robert Baures Jr., wife Linda, and Grandson Donny of Fountain City WI.  Also, son Chad Baures and grandson Ian of Minneapolis, MN.

He married Nancy (Power) Armstrong in 1967 and had sons Bob Jr. and Chad.  They divorced in 1989.

He served in the Army 1968-70. One year in Vietnam.  Awarded three Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star with Valor.

He worked at Peerless Chain Company for 18years.  For the next 30 years he owned 6 businesses in western Wisconsin.

Per Bob's request there will be no services.  There will be a Celebration of Life to be announced.   Talbot Family Funeral Homes – Scenic Rivers Cremation Center assisted the family.
