Richard L. Wyttenbach, age 74, of Mondovi, died Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the American Lutheran Home, Mondovi.
He was born on June 26, 1938 in Minneapolis, a son of the late Albert and Isabelle (Lawrence) Wyttenbach.
Richard was employed until retirement for Marten Transport. Previous to his employment at Marten Transport, He owned his own trucking company, D& D trucking.
Richard, for many years, provided foster care for children. Several of his foster children still kept in contact with him in their adulthood.
Richard was an extremely accomplished woodworker. Some of his creations included grandfather clocks, fireplace mantles and quilt racks. Most recently, as his brother made birdhouses, it was Richard that completed them as "The Painter".
Richard is survived by his siblings, Jack (Fay) of Victorville, CA, Betty Busch, of Brainerd, MN, Robert (Sharon) of Independence, Bill (Carol) of Tucson, Judy (friend, Roger) Billie of Brainerd and Jim (Deborahlee) of Sparta.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sharon Anderson.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Poeschel-Talbot Funeral Home in Mondovi on Monday, November 19 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, with a prayer service at 6:00 PM with Gary Preston presiding. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Mondovi. Scenic Rivers Cremation Center and Poeschel-Talbot funeral home assisted with arrangements.
