Raymond Krumrie

Raymond Krumrie, age 79, of Mondovi, died Wednesday, December 28 at Sacred Heart Hospital.
He was born on July 19 1923 to Albert and Alice (Price) Krumrie. He lived on a farm most of his life. Finally in 1964 he purchased his own farm. Farming and the outdoors was Ray's way of life. He loved the earth and animals.
In 1953, Ray was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Kathleen Taylor where together they farmed and raised three sons.
In 1974, Ray and Kate moved to Mondovi and resided here ever since. After moving to Mondovi, Ray began his employment with Bauer Built of Durand retiring after 20 years of service in 1998.
Ray loved his family and was proud to be a teammate of his wife Kate for the past fifty nine years. Ray had a hard life, but it was also a good life. he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen, of Mondovi; two sons, Randy (Bobbie) of Mondovi and Tim (Cheryl) of Colorado Springs; five grandchildren; one brother Eugene (Luella) Krumrie of Elk Mound.
Ray was preceded in death by his son, David; two grandchildren and a daughter in law, Kathleen Krumrie Goodrich.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, January 4 at 7:00 PM at the Poeschel-Talbot funeral home, Mondovi with Chaplain Gary Preston presiding. A memorial gathering will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. It was Ray's wish to be cremated.
