Penny Loewenhagen, of Alma, beloved wife of Calvin Loewenhagen, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Mayo Clinic, Methodist campus in Rochester, MN.
Penny was born on February 18, 1962 in Sheboygan, WI, the daughter of Howard and June (Brace) Erdmann.
On June 28, 1986, Penny was united in marriage to Fred Heller. Fred preceded Penny in death on May 8, 2010.
Several years later, Penny met Calvin Loewenhagen. As their love grew, Penny took Calvin’s hand in marriage on August 19, 2017 at the Alma Rod & Gun Club with Tom Elliott officiating.
Penny worked at ORC in Winona, the Tundra Swan Café in Alma and recently was employed at Kwik Trip in Alma.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
Penny will be remembered for her soft and caring personality and wonderful humane heart towards animals, especially for dogs.
Penny is survived by her husband, Calvin; sisters, Linda (Dale) Zimmermann of Sheboygan Falls and Kathy Erdmann; brothers, Jack (Lynn) Erdmann of Idaho and David (Sue) Erdmann of Cleveland, WI; also by nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends.
Penny was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, Fred and their infant son, Zachary.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Michelle Rem officiating. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery this spring. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Alma Chapel and again on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service at the church.
