Patricia J. Vollmer

Patricia J. Vollmer, age 91, of Alma, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Eagle's Rest Assisted Living in Pepin.

She was born on April 6, 1933 in Milwaukee to the late Miles, Sr. and Lorraine Pank.

Patricia worked as a school teacher at Big Hill school in Pepin and the Tell school until  June 29, 1957, Pat when she was united in marriage to Marvin A. Vollmer and proudly became a full time mother to two sons. 

Together, Pat and her husband worked side by side on the family farm and would help Marvin with his ABS business. If not helping on the farm,  She found solace doing flower gardening or just anything outdoors and will be remembered as the best baker ever.

Following the loss of her husband, Patricia moved to Alma where she resided until 2024 when she moved to Eagle's Rest Assisted Living in Pepin. She would always be there at Eagle's Rest with a helping hand with whatever she could, right up to the days prior to her passing.  Not only will Patricia be remembered as a  devoted wife, mom and grandma, she will be remembered as a hard worker and quite the little spitfire. 

Patricia is survived by her son, Ronald (Paula); grandchildren, Ryan (Julie), Bradley (Jessica), Brandon (Sunny) Gleiter, Evan Swoboda, Mark Martell, Adam Martell and Angela (Cory) Knutson; great grandchildren, Asher, Claire, Dylan, Aiden, Brenna, Coby, Janessa, Mike, Sabrena, Braelyn, Autumn, Cash, Henry, Mercadeze, Madison and Dominic; sister, Donna Carothers; sisters in law, Lynette Pank and Bev Vollmer; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents;  husband, Marvin; son, Randy; brothers, Dennis and Miles Pank, Jr.;  in-laws, Arnald and Esther Vollmer

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Alma Chapel.  A memorial gathering will be held from 4;00 PM until the hour of the service on Monday at the funeral home. 

Patricia's family would like to take this opportunity to send a heartfelt and gracious thank you to the staffs of St. Croix Hospice and Eagles Rest for the exceptional care they gave to her.
