Patricia “Patti” L. Burmeister, age 76, of Buffalo City passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, June 18, 2014.
She was born July 15, 1937 in Winona, MN to John and Valeria (Wier) Reck. She worked at Behrens Manufacturing in Winona right after high school until she met her future husband, Roger Burmeister.
After their marriage, they started a long career owning and operating Roger’s TV Sales and Service This began in 1965 until 2008, at which time they retired. She was a faithful member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Alma. They enjoyed traveling, especially vacations with their R.V. and with their family. Dancing was her passion, enjoying time at the Hilltop Ballroom with her husband. They enjoyed “old time & country music”. Later, she enjoyed casino trips to different casinos in Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota after selling the R.V. She was a great cook! enjoyed her flowers and garden and was a “Packer” fan, and spending time with her family.
Patti is survived by her husband Roger of 53 years, daughter, Lori (Gordy) Prudoehl, Son, Bradley (Tina) Burmeister of Winona, 3 grandchildren, Alexis & Abigail Burmeister and Cory Prudoehl. She was preceded by brothers and sisters, Bonnie, Burt, Harold and Lou. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 10:30 AM at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Alma with Father Brian J. Jazdzewski as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Buffalo City Cemetery. A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, at 9:00 AM until the hour of mass. Talbot Family Funeral Home/Scenic Rivers Cremation Center is assisting the family
