Orville Busch, age 92, of Alma, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 17, 2015 at Pepin Manor, Pepin, WI.
He was born on September 15, 1922 in Goodhue, MN the only son of Romeo and Elsie (Klitzing) Busch.
At the age of 6, Orville’s family relocated to Buffalo County, WI where they resided at a farm in Trout Creek located in the Town of Nelson. He attended and graduated from the Nelson High School
On November 24, 1945, Orville was united in marriage to Marcella Moy in Mondovi and to this union, three sons were born.
Orville farmed the land he loved. In his early days of agriculture, he did custom crop work, mostly square baling, for area farmers. Orville also was a dairy farmer and in his later years, raised beef cattle. He sold his dairy cows in 1993.
Orville was a man with a humane heart that loved dogs, especially German Shepherds. He also enjoyed taking rides on his tractor to admire the land he loved so much. Orville will long be remembered for being a proud man with an incredible work ethic and a love for his entire family.
Those surviving Orville are his wife of the past 69 years, Marcella Busch of the Town of Nelson; two sons Mark and his wife Glenda of Mondovi and David and his wife Tessi of Cochrane; four grandchildren, Kevin, Heidi, Melissa and Matt; three great grandchildren, Jaxon, Landry and Ellis.
Preceding Orville in death were his parents and his son, Larry.
Funeral service for Orville will be held on Friday January 23, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Lyster Lutheran Church, Town of Nelson with Pastor Michael Vetsch officiating. Burial will be at the Nelson Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday January 22 from 4:00 PM ending with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Talbot Family Funeral Homes, Alma Chapel. Visitation will also be held on Friday one hour prior to the service all at the church.
