Neil Allyn Rieck

Neil Allyn Rieck, age 63, of Pepin, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Our Lady of Peace Hospice Home in St. Paul, MN while surrounded by his dear and loving family. He was born on March 12, 1953 in Wabasha, MN a son of the late Albert "Pete” and Violet (Peterson) Rieck. He attended Alma Schools, graduating from Alma High School with the class of 1971. Neil went on to further his education at Red Wing for is degree in H-VAC. He honorably served his Country as a member of the United States Army. Neil worked for the United States Corp of Engineers in Fountain City, WI. Neil enjoyed the outdoors, music, photography and time spent on the river along with hunting and fishing. With this said, his devotion was for his family and his friends. Neil will be sadly missed by his daughter, Codie and Chris Patraw of Prescott, WI and son Caine Rieck of Pepin, WI; step daughter, Alicia O’Keefe of CA; grandchildren, Jack and Tony Patraw and Raelyn and Tyler Rieck; step grandchildren, Johnny, Robert and Lillieanna Inacio; brothers, Donnie (Myrna) of Jordan, MN and Albert (Peggy) of Cottage Grove, MN; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Neil is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Bobby Rieck. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at the Nelson Cemetery. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 5 from 9:30 AM until the hour of the service.
