Myrtle Mae Grabau, age 84, of Winona, formerly of South St. Paul, MN passed away peacefully on May 1, 2019 at Saint Anne’s Extended Care, Winona.
She was born on March 28, 1934 in Minneapolis, a daughter of the late Grace Jereczek.
In September of 1954, Myrtle was united in marriage to Victor Grabau at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Winona. To this union, 4 children were born.
Mert will be sadly missed by her husband, Victor; children, Scott (Debi) Grabau, Lee (Peggy) Grabau, Tom (Cindy) Bauer and Jeff (Paula) Dolby; grandchildren, Sandy, Stephanie, Alicia, Taylor, Aaron, Hannah, Hazel and Zayden; great grandson, Charlie; step sisters, Jean and Lorraine; a step brother, Mike; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her mother, Mert was preceded in death by a step sister, Shirley.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM at The Chapel within Saint Anne’s Extended Care of Winona. A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held from 10:00 AM until the hour of the Mass all at the Chapel of Saint Anne’s. Inurnment will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Mert would appreciate donations in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
