Myrna E. Boettcher

Myrna Boettcher, age 83, of Menomonie, formerly of Alma, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024 at the American Lutheran Home, Menomonie.

Myrna was born on July 22, 1940 in Winona, MN to Raymond and Kathryn (Pruka) Ledebuhr.  She was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Stockton, MN and attended Lewiston High School graduating with the class of 1958.

On May 16, 1959, Myrna was united in marriage to Larry Boettcher at Grace Lutheran Church in Stockton.  They then moved to the 5^th generation farm where they raised Guernsey Cows, chickens and ducks.  Myrna had a huge garden, where they grew and raised squash, pumpkins and sweet corn. Myrna and her husband would enjoy listening and attending bluegrass festivals. 

Myrna was a faithful member of Christ Lutheran Church in Cochrane, active in the church choir and serving on the Ladies Aid.

Myrna will be sadly missed by her sons, Timothy (Dave) of Wyoming, MI and Daniel of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Travis Boettcher of Winona, Stephanie (Josh) Gunter of Chippewa Falls, great granddaughter, Rylee of Chippewa Falls; brother, Rolland (Andrea) Ledebuhr of Minnesota City, MN; her former daughter in law, Linda (Dale) Boettcher; brother in law, Jack (Ruby) Boettcher of Winona; sister in law, Janice Horne of Manassas, VA; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents, Myrna was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; brothers in law, Lyman Boettcher, Levi Boettcher and Robert Horne; sister in law, Ruth Boettcher.

A funeral service for Myrna will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Christ Lutheran Church in Cochrane with Pastor Mark Wilde officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo City Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service.
