Mildred Mathilda Mork

Mildred Mathilda Mork age 88, of Buffalo City, WI passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Plum City Care Center. She was born on September 25, 1924 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Herman and Mathilda (Pockrandt) Olm. Mildred was united in marriage to Alton Mork in Milwaukee and to this union, six children were born. Alton preceded MIldred in death on January 14, 2013. Mildred was a longtime, faithful and devoted member of St. John Lutheran Church in Alma where she was active with the Wednesday morning bible study group and the young at heart group. Following her high school graduation, Mildred began her employment at Nordberg Manufacturing in Milwaukee and it is here where she met her future husband. Mildred and Alton relocated to Alma in the late 1940’s where she stayed home to care for their children. She began working for the Anchor Inn of Wabasha in the mid 1970’s and then the restaurant on Banta’s Fishing float, now the Alma fishing float. Mildred will be forever missed by her children Sonia (Harry) Feinberg of Maple Grove, MN, Karen (Robert) Shaw of Buffalo City, WI, Curtis (Rhonda) Mork of Madison, WI, Noreen Brewer of Spooner, WI, Patricia (Rev. Daniel) Carlson of Northwood, ND, Alan (Barbara) Mork of El Paso, TX, twelve grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren also by nieces nephews, other relatives and friends. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Alton. A Memorial Gathering will be at St. John Lutheran Church in Alma on Monday June 10 at 11:30 AM until the time of Service at 1:00 PM.
