Marvin Heller, age 83, of the Town of Lincoln, Buffalo County, WI passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Winona Hospital.
Marvin was born on October 15, 1936 on what is now the family homestead, Heller Valley in the Town of Lincoln, Buffalo County, WI to the late Joseph and Esther (Veraguth) Heller.
Marvin attended and graduated from Gilmanton High School with the class of 1954.
On October 26, 1957, Marvin was united in marriage to Rose Gross at St. John Lutheran Church in Alma. To this union, 4 children were born.
Marvin was a longtime and faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in Cream and was an instrumental council member for the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Cream. He also served the Town of Lincoln for 27 years on the Town board with several of these years as the Town Chairman.
Marvin had a deep love for his land and farming. He was so proud to have raised one of the top dairy herds in all of Buffalo County. In his later years, Marvin would love to hop on his gator and take rides with his faithful companion, Bandit, to take in all that Heller Valley had to offer. Marvin’s farm and homestead was the place that brought and tied his family together for gatherings throughout the year.
Marvin will be sadly missed by his beloved wife, Rose; sons, Curtis (Debbie) Heller and Charles Heller; daughter Christine (Paul) Churchill; grandchildren, Karissa (Gary) Wingert, Meghan (David) Mathis, Brandon Churchill and Andrew Heller; great-grandchildren, Julius, Emma, Josh, Cole, Owen, Luella and Oliver Wingert and Gabe, Katie, Esther and Michaela Mathis.
Besides his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by an infant daughter and by his sister and brother in law, Margaret and Gene Jonas.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 1:00 PM at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Fountain City. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Cream, WI. A visitation will be held on Monday, July 13 from 11:30 AM until the hour of the service.
