Margaret Jean Martin, 83, of Mondovi, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on January 30, 1930 in San Jose, California to Manuel and Rose Costa. She graduated from Laton High School, CA. Following graduation she attended a dental nurse program in San Francisco. On December 2, 1950 she married Sgt Cecil C. Martin in Monterey, CA. She was a dental nurse under the practice of Dr. Rudy in Hanford, CA. After the birth of her son she chose to become a full-time homemaker. During the duration of her husband’s career with the Southern California Edison Company they lived in various cities in southern California, retiring in Crestline, CA.
Upon her husband’s retirement in the late 1980’s they purchased their RV and traveled to various locations for a number of years, including Alaska, eventually settling in Wauchula, Florida. Proceeding her husband’s death she relocated to Mondovi, Wisconsin to reside with her family. Margaret enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and going to garage sales.
She is survived by her daughter, Claudia (Ronald) Risler, her son, Mark (Melony) Martin, all of Mondovi; five grandchildren, Scott (Jessica) Bee, Mondovi, Stacy Bee, Mumbai, India, Jim Bee, Menomonie, Melissa (Jonathon) Behringer, Spencer, Melinda Martin, Milwaukee; three great-grandchildren, Claire, Colten and Macy.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Arthur and Anthony Pacheco; son-in-law, Eldon W Bee.
