Lyle James Ness

Rev. Lyle James Ness, age 86, of Mondovi, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the Chippewa Valley Hospital in Durand, WI. He was born on April 21, 1929 in Mondovi, son of Henry and Esther (Kolstad) Ness. On October 25, 1952, Lyle was united in marriage to Patricia Graham. They were blessed with 6 children. Lyle will be remembered for his service to his country, devotion to his many congregations and his love of farming. Family was important to Lyle and he will be missed by his wife Patricia, his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his brother. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in rural Mondovi with Pastor Kermit Solem officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will be at Riverside Lutheran Cemetery, Mondovi. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Mondovi Chapel and again on Monday one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in the name of Rev. Ness to either Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or Faith LCMC would be greatly appreciated.
