Lorraine Mae Becker

Lorraine Mae Becker, age 92, of Buffalo City, passed away on May 20, 2023 at Saint Anne’s Extended Care of Winona.

She was born to Henry and Julia (Severson) Hermundson on November 28, 1930 in Center Creek, WI. 

On May 20, 1950, Lorraine was united in marriage to Duane Becker at the Christ Lutheran Parsonage in Cochrane.  To this union, one son was born.  Duane preceded Lorraine in death in 2007.

Lorraine was a beautician at Schreiber’s in Alma, but was most proud of being a homemaker and raising her only son, Steve.  She would like to garden, do canning and keep up their home while her husband Duane worked hard outside the home.  They will be remembered for having a very loving and tight knit marriage. 

Lorraine was a faithful member of Dr. Martin Luther Church in Buffalo City where she was active in the Ladies Aid.  Following the closing of Dr. Martin Luther Church, Lorraine transferred her membership to Christ Lutheran Church in Cochrane.

Lorraine will be missed by her son, Steven Becker, of Buffalo City; brother, Curtis (Kathy) Hermundson, of Wabasha; nephew, Eric of Wabasha; nieces, Rene of Rochester and Brenda of Lake City.

Besides her parents and beloved husband Duane, Lorraine was preceded in death by her siblings, Joyce, Maxine, Dean, Ron, and Merle.

A private graveside service for Lorraine will be held at Buffalo City Cemetery.  Talbot Family Funeral Homes assisted the family.  www.talbotfuneralhomes.com
