Lonnie R. Benson

Lonnie R. Benson, age 69, of Monroeville, PA, formerly of Alma, WI died on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 in Pittsburgh, PA. Lonnie was born on March 24, 1947 in Wabasha, MN. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn of Monroeville; sons, Douglas of Las Vegas, NV, Jeffrey and his wife Hope of Monroeville, and Adam and his fiancé Eric of Royal Oak, MI; grandfather of Reichen, age 12, and Piper, age 8; brother of Hazel Auer and Beatrice Moham. Lonnie worked for Westinghouse for 28 years and Parkway West Vocational School for 13 years. He was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting,fishing and woodworking. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Alma Chapel, officiatiated by Pastor James Clausen. with burial to follow at Tell Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 16 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM and again on Friday from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service all at the funeral home.
