Leo Lawrence Eisenhutt, Jr. of Alma, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 at his home.
He was born September 16, 1939 in Gary, IN, son of Leo and Margaret (Cullen) Eisenhutt.
Leo graduated from Crown Point High School (Indiana), May of 1957.
In January of 1961, Leo proudly served the United States Army Reserve until his honorable discharge January 26, 1967.
On December 29, 1962 Leo was united in marriage to Deborah Ruby at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Crown Point, IN. To this union, two sons, Leo III and James were born.
Leo was employed as an Industrial Engineer at LTV Steel Mill in East Chicago until his retirement in 1993.
Leo and Deb moved to Alma, WI in 1993 after enjoying many years of vacationing on the Alma, fishing float.
Leo was a parishioner of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Alma and member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 6789.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working part time at the Alma Area School.
Leo is survived by his wife, Deborah of Alma; sons, Leo L. Eisenhutt III and James M. Eisenhutt; four grandchildren, Benjamin, Samuel, Katelyn and Zachary.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Delores Steuer-Wagner and Mary Whitehead.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 at 5:00 PM at Talbot Family Funeral Home, Alma Chapel, with Deacon Edward Wendt officiating. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday from 2:00 PM until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to a charity of the donor’s choice in the name of Leo Eisenhutt.
