Leo Butler, age 62 of Alma, WI passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 9, 2015.
He was born on April 17, 1953 to Malcolm and Rosemary (Roth) Butler.
Leo was employed at La Crosse Milling Company in Cochrane. Leo will be mostly remembered for his unending dedication to the City of Alma and the residents living in the community. He will be remembered by all those in the community of Alma and beyond for his unending dedication to its residents by either clearing off their sidewalks in the winter or weed eating their curbs in the summer, doing all of this expecting nothing at all in return. Quite honestly, to see Leo was to see him with his snow shovel or see him with his push mower.
Leo always had a kind word to say to you and had a constant smile that would light up the streets. His positive presence and hard work he did within the community of Alma will be sorely missed by all.
Leo is survived by his siblings, Richard (Margie) Butler of Wonewoc, WI, Elaine Butler of Elroy, WI and Melvin Peterson of Plainview, MM; niece, Lori (Tim) and nephew, Dave (Marcie); and his “goddaughter”, Annalea Cherry.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 21, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at St. John Lutheran Church in Alma, with Pastor Joel Bacon officiating. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery, Elba, Minn.
