Larry J. Fink, age 71, of Alma passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Mayo Health System in Eau Claire, WI.
He was born on April 8, 1945 the son of Gustav and Bernice Fink.
Larry attended Pepin Schools, graduating with the Pepin High School Class of 1963.
Larry honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge from active duty, Larry re-enlisted into the United States Army Reserves, retiring in 1996.
Larry was united in marriage to Charlotte Hannah DeWilde on March 6, 1965 at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Hannah preceded Larry in death on June 2, 2013.
Larry was a longtime employee of the BNSF Railroad, a career that spanned 41 years, retiring April 9, 2005.
Larry would like to spend time over a cold beverage with his close friends from the area.
Larry is survived by his son, Chuck of Alma; two grandsons, Tyler of Madison and Trevor of Alma; one sister in law, Lillian (DeWilde) Weist and cousins, Bob Schmidt and Rudy Zeller.
Besides his parents and wife, Hannah, Larry was preceded in death by daughter in law, Pamela Fink.
Funeral service on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Alma chapel with Tom Elliott officiating. Burial will follow at Alma Memorial Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 10 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM and again on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the hour of the service all at the funeral home.
