Larry R. Carothers

Larry R. Carothers, age 80 of Durand, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Chippewa Valley Hospital, Durand. He was born on May 10, 1938 in Urne, WI, the son of Kenneth and Norma (Thompson) Carothers. Larry married Carol Prissel on July 21, 1962 and this union two sons were born. He worked at the Maintenance Supervisor at PDI in Racine for over 39 years. After his retirement, Carol and Larry moved back to Durand. Larry was a member of the American Legion in Durand and was an avid Nascar and Packers fan. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 56 years, Carol of Durand; sons, Terry Richard Carothers of New London and Timothy Alan Carothers of Palo, IA; grandchildren, Matthew, Kenneth, Benjamin, Faith and Emily; two brothers, Dennis (Donna) and Kent (Kellee); two sisters, Beverly (Raymond) Fichtenbauer and Connie (Ron) Weiss; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Honoring Larry's wishes, there will be no funeral services. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Chippewa Valley Hospital for their care and support during Larry's stay.
