Kevin Lee Longseth, age 67 of Independence, WI passed away on September 2, 2024 at Dove West Healthcare in Eau Claire.
He was born on June 25, 1957 to the late Marshall and Jane Marie (Mattausch) Longseth.
Kevin attended and graduated from Gilmanton High School and after high school earned an Associate’s Degree from Chippewa Valley Technical College.
On March 12, 1988, Kevin was united in marriage to Cynthia Susan Wohld. To this union, two daughters were born.
In Kevin’s early days of employment, he drove taxi in Eau Claire. Soon after, he began a career as an over the road truck driver, working first for Thums Trucking in Rib Lake and then Milles Trucking out of Black River Falls. Recently, Kevin was employed at Ashley Furniture, retiring on August 16, 2024.
Kevin had a humane and loving heart for animals, especially his horses. He was known as a hard-working man that always wanted to provide a loving home for his family. He will be remembered for always having a story to share…maybe even twice, but it was always a wonderful story nonetheless. He was a kind soul that was taken from us too soon.
Kevin will be dearly missed by his wife, Cindy; two daughters, Treani (A.J.) Fedie of Gilmanton and Marcia Longseth of Independence; two granddaughters, Jade and Rylie Fedie; sisters, Vicki (Pat) Langreck, Cindy (Gaylord) Peterson Kristi (Ted) Casey and Lori (Tim) Nyberg; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Longseth.
A memorial gathering will be at Talbot Family Funeral Home in Mondovi on Saturday September 28, 2024 starting at 11:00 AM through to a time of sharing stories and memories of Kevin starting at 1:00 PM.
