Kenneth George “Kenny” Klopp, age 74, of Gilmanton, WI passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at his home.
He was born on February 6, 1949, the son of the late Norman and Patricia (O’Brian) Klopp. Kenny attended and graduated from Gilmanton High School. He then went on to serve his Country as a member of the United States Navy. Kenny was united in marriage to Judith Ellis, they later divorced. He also spent many years with his special friend, Laurie Keeler until her passing. On December 19, 2020, Kenny was united in marriage to Sybil Marie Burchard. Kenny farmed for many years in rural Gilmanton until 1986. Following farming, Kenny began a career in the trucking industry as an owner operator where he drove his own rigs for several different trucking companies in the area. Kenny was proud of his CB handle, “The Wisconsin Knight”. Kenny was a longtime member of the Forrest-Gundersen-Klevgard American Legion Post in Gilmanton where he served as past post commander.
Kenny was an avid fan of all the professional and collegiate sports teams of Wisconsin. He loved to deer hunt and coon hunt and will be remembered for always working hard to provide for his family. He loved to be with his family and celebrate all the monumental times in their lives.
Kenny will be sadly missed by his wife, Sybil; children, Veronica (David) Nelson, Suzie (Jamey) Davis, Joe (Karine) Klopp, Heather (Adam) Severson and George Klopp; grandchildren, Joshua Nelson, Jake (Kim) Nelson, Katelynn Nelson (special friend, Calvin), Kyle (Brittany) Davis, Erin Davis (special friend, Cole), Haleigh Klopp, Hillari Klopp (special friend, Jonathan), Ethan Severson and Alanna Severson (special friend, Chase); 5 great grandchildren; step children, Travis Burchard, Dyllan Whipple, Adam (Nikki) Whipple, Blake Whipple; step grandchildren, Averie McDonald, Renly Whipple, Londyn Miller, Lennon Whipple, Joseph Whipple and Jacob Whipple;
Siblings, Stephen (Karla) Klopp, Virginia (Dave) Cope, Margaret Sessions, Bonnie (Gary Marten) Bloom and Henry (Tosha) Klopp; Special Friend Brenda Marten; Danielle, Dustin, Dylan, and Derek Marten. Children of the late special friend Laurie Keeler; Allen; Zach; and Cherish. Also, by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by brother, Jimmy Klopp; brother-in-law, Terry Sessions and three nieces and a nephew. A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Cemetery in rural Mondovi.
