Karen Grimm age 70 of Madison, WI entered heaven through the arms of the Lord on November 27, 2013 at her sister’s home in Buffalo City, WI. She was born on September 24, 1943 to Arthur and Ethel (Albrecht) Grimm. Karen was baptized on October 22, 1943, and confirmed April 14, 1957 at St. Matthew’s Lutheran church in Winona, MN. She attended St. Matthews and St. Martins Lutheran School through the 9th grade, and then attended Winona High, followed by four years at Winona State University, earning a degree in Physical Education. She taught Physical Education and coached for 34 years in Monona, and Cottage Grove, WI until she retired in 1999.
Karen especially enjoyed being with family and friends playing golf, snowmobiling, jet skiing , fishing and singing and spending time with her special dog K.C. She also sponsored a boy in Honduras through the Christian children fund. Karen is survived by her sister Beverly (Gerald) Thaldorf of Buffalo City, sister Lynette Grimm of Lake City, MN; niece Chris (Kevin) Buswell, nephew Clark (Terra) Thaldorf, grandnephews Ben, Jacob, and Michael Kafer, and special friend and caregiver Carol Thieme of Shawano, WI, and also by many wonderful friends and neighbors.
