Julie Faye (Johnson) Brackin, age 58, of Cochrane, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at her home with her loving family at her side following a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Eau Claire, WI on February 26, 1959, a daughter of the late Maurice “Kooga” and Ruth E. Johnson. She attended Osseo-Fairchild High School located at Osseo, WI. Julie lived in Iowa for a short period before moving back to Wisconsin living in Osseo and Galesville before making her home in Buffalo City and later Cochrane where she resided ever since. Julie was employed at La Crosse Milling Co. in Cochrane for many years. Julie loved music of all genres, especially the 80’s generation of music. She also enjoyed a good game of cards, board games or puzzles.
She will be remembered as a hard-working, caring and devoted mom, who always wanted her kids to do well, be happy and healthy in life. Her life became further fulfilled when she became a grandma to two precious grandsons.
Julie will be forever missed by her children, Kelly Brackin, Lindsey Brackin and Kevin Brackin; her two precious grandsons, Gabriel and Nicholas; siblings, Kari Johnson of Blair; Bev Kittelson of Osseo, Dale Johnson of Northfield, LeRoy Johnson of Osseo, Joe (Julie) Johnson of Osseo, Bonnie (Todd) Holmen of Strum and Shelly Johnson of Osseo; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, Julie was preceded in death by her siblings Richard Johnson, Donna Sturz, Jerald (Jess) Johnson and Marge Johnson; nephews, Travis Dale Johnson, Tom Livingston and Larry Oium.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm at Talbot Family Funeral Homes - Alma Chapel.
