Joyce Turner

Joyce L. Turner, age 70, of Mondovi, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 14, 2015 with her family at her side. She was born, one of 18 children, on September 30, 1944 to Wallace and Frances (Cowell) Simonson. Joyce married the love of her life, Dock Turner. They lived in Alabama until 1970 when they relocated to Rock Falls where they made their home. Joyce was a devoted Adult Care Provider. Joyce is survived by her children, Judy Simonson, Dale Ehlert, Theresa Ehlert; adopted daughter, Tara (Mark Gunderson) Turner; adult foster son, Bernard Rowley; also by her grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding Joyce in death was her husband. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Birch Street Baptist Church, Eau Claire with Pastor Tim Hallett, Jr. officiating. A private family committal service will be held on a later date. A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, August 18 from 10:00 AM until the hour of the services. Talbot Family Funeral Home, Scenic Rivers Cremation Center of Mondovi is assisting the family.
