Joan Marie Thoeny

Joan Marie Thoeny, age 51 of Alma, WI passed away unexpectedly August 3, 2014 at her home. Joan was born December 16, 1962 in Wabasha, MN to Rodney and Inez (Karrow) Thoeny. She enjoyed playing her banjo, singing, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends. She will be missed by her companion of the last 15 years; Alan Keeler, Sr. of Cochrane, WI. Her sisters Barb (Bruce) Linberg; Pam (Ben) Seltrecht, both of Gilmanton, WI; Emily Thoeny of Alma, WI; and Maxine (Dan) Althoff of La Crosse, WI; also by nieces, nephews, and friends. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, her grandmother Cora Thoeny, and grandfather Erwin Karrow. A memorial gathering will be at Talbot Family Funeral Homes in Alma on Monday August 11 at 10:00AM until the time of service at 11:00AM with Pastor Joel Bacon officiating. Burial will be at Nelson Cemetery, Nelson,WI.
