Jesse Leon Fuller, age 91 of Mondovi, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the Mayo Hospital, Eau Claire.
He was born June 18, 1928 in Sigourney, Iowa, the son of Walter and Margaret (Martin) Fuller. On September 16, 1956 he married Irma Trader at the E.U.B. Methodist Church in Muscatine, Iowa on a beautiful Sunday day. Jesse served 2 years in the U.S. Signal Corp in Korea. He was a faithful member of Our Savior's United Methodist Church in Mondovi.
He spent many years doing carpenter work in Davenport and Rock Island, Illinois. When he moved to Wisconsin, he worked for Donald Roemer Construction in Wabasha, MN for 30 years. He farmed in the Township of Modena for many years.
Jesse was a life member of the VFW Post #6711 and a life member of the Gilmanton Community Club. He loved horses and had a harness horse "April" which, he enjoyed especially with his grandchildren.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Irma; daughters, Janet (Mark) Krick and Linda (William) King; son, Thomas; grandchildren, Dan, Tamara and Brian Fuller, Brandon (Sandra) Krick, Stephanie (Cole) Beagan, Bradley (Amanda) King, Maria (Calvin) Poeschel, Megan (John) McCarthy and Myra King; 10 great-grandchildren, Kahlan, Vienna, Kalibe, Chase, Elijah, Sage King, Abigale, Annabel and Alexzander Poeschel and Emily Krick; sisters, Margaret Vols and Jessie Ann McCleod; sisters-in-law, Doreen Fuller and Irene Fuller; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Kenneth, Roy and Walter and 2 sisters, Thelma and Mary.
A funeral service will be at Our Savior's United Methodist Church on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 11:00 am with Chaplain Gary Preston of the American Lutheran Home officiating. Burial to immediately follow at Oak Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Talbot Family Funeral Home, Mondovi Chapel on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm and then again at church at 10:00 am until the time service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
