Jeannette Lorraine Beck

Jeannette Lorraine Beck, age 95 of Fountain City, WI passed away at Winona Health on June 5, 2024. Jeannette was born on June 8, 1928 in Trempealeau, WI to Hugh and Alice (Lebakken) McDonah.  Jeannette married the love of her life, Donald Earl Beck in 1953 at the French Creek Church in Ettrick, WI.  Jeannette and Don were blessed with three daughters.  She was a lifetime devoted member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Fountain City, serving in the Women's Guild, the Memorial Committee, as the treasurer for the building fund and as a funeral coordinator.  She was also a member of the Boris Valley Homemakers.  Jeannette took great pride in being a Poll Worker on election days spanning many years, and eventually indoctrinating her daughter Mary to eventually take her place.  Jeannette was known by many for her delicious baked goods, notably, angel food cake.  She also made many afghan blankets that she gave to family and friends.  Her pastimes included being an avid Brewers and Packers fan.  Jeannette will be forever in the hearts of her daughters; Mary (Dean) Schmitt, Karen (Dan) Knospe, and Donna Beck. Her grandchildren;  Donald (Lisa) Beck, William Knospe, Kayla (Josh Munoz) Knospe.  Great Grandchildren; Angela (Nick Walters) Beck, and Jacob (Morgan Walker) Beck.  Great-great Grandchildren; Bella Beck-Walters, and Oakley Beck-Walters.  Also by sister; Margaret Ann Hale, Brother in law; Jerry Bond, and many other relatives and friends.  Jeannette was preceded in death by her parents; Hugh and Alice,  her husband; Donald, her In laws; Earl and Florence Beck, brother; Thomas, sister in law; Dorothy McDonah, brother in law; Ray Hale, Sr., and sister; Elsie Bond.
 A memorial gathering and service will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ in Fountain City on Saturday June 15, 2024 at 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.  Burial will be at a later date at Fountain City Public Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be given to St. John's United Church of Christ.
