Janet M. Nordstrom

Janet M. Nordstrom, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 while surrounded by her loving family at the American Lutheran Home of Mondovi. Janet was born on June 12, 1944 in Texas to Arthur and Ruth Ann (Engevold) Nordstrom. Janet was employed as the head Housekeeper at Exel Inn and the Holiday Inn. She also worked at the Eau Claire Academy as a cook. Janet will be remembered for her Sudoku puzzles and her love for horses, listening to the music of Elvis Presley and gardening. She had a creative and artistic mind, which shined through by the many inspiring pieces of art she made. Janet had a very spunky and witty way about her, but her love as a mom and grandma will be the memory that will live on in their hearts. Janet is survived by her daughter, Lori (Rusty) Franson; sons, Tony Pavelski, Bobbie (Debra) Pavelski, Jeff (Jackie) Pavelski, and Thomas (Terina) Pavelski; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Eddie (Linda) Nordstrom, Barb (Rick) Paape and Judy (Wayne) Gruhlke; and by her furry companion, Jingles her dog; also by nieces, nephews and other relatives . Besides her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her daughter in law, Shelley Pavelski. A celebration of Janet's life will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM at The Town of Brunswick Town Hall (Eau Claire County) located at W5485 County Road Z. at 2:00 pm there will be a time of remembrance with Chaplain Gary Preston, officiating. Inurnment will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Eau Claire at a later date.
