Janet Moe, age 80 of Buffalo City, WI passed away unexpectedly on December 1, 2015. She was born on January 3, 1935 to Esther and Melvin Dieckman.
She graduated from Gilmanton High School, worked as a bookkeeper throughout her life and finished her career working for the Justice of the Peace in Bozeman, Mt.
She married Burton Moe on October 18, 1979. Upon retiring, they enjoyed traveling as snowbirds to Florida, Texas and Arizona. They built their dream home in Buffalo City where they enjoyed boating, fishing, gardening and their neighbors. Jan loved to crochet, garden, and cook and try new recipes and enjoyed crafts of all kinds. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 224.
Jan is survived by her four children – Chris Bryson (Butch Bryson) of Devine, TX, Bobbi Moy from Mondovi, WI, Jayme Moy (Troy Johnson) of New Richmond, WI, and Michael Moy (Martha Moy) of Mondovi, WI. She has eight grandchildren – Tina, Chad, Wendy, Nicole, Matthew, Lucas, Danielle; 13 great grandchildren, with another on the way and one great, great grandchild on the way. She also has two step children, Tami Moe (Per Billgren) from Seattle, WA and Dan Moe (Robyn Moe) from Denver, CO, 3 step grandchildren, Heather, Garrett and Carson, and 1 step great grandchild.
A memorial service will be at Talbot Family Funeral Home in Cochrane, WI on Friday December 4 at 1:00 PM, with an hour of visitation prior. Burial will be at a later date at Northern WI Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.
