Janet Mary Laus LaRock went to be with the Lord September 7, 2014. She was born August 22, 1937 in Milwaukee to E. LeRoy and Mary C. Laus. She attended Messmer High School and Alverno College. She married David Lewis LaRock on July 2, 1960. Together they had three children Roberta “Bobbi” (Randy) Krumrie, Mark (Ginene) LaRock, and Dorothy “Dee”Hageness Thompson (Donny Crosby), after divorce, she worked as a bookkeeper for many years at several locations, supporting her family. In her later years, she moved to Mondovi to be near family. She loved her family, and enjoyed crochet, knitting, chatting and surfing the web on her computer. Janet loved watching for birds, especially eagles. She loved her church family at the Durand Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was happy to have four grandchildren, Brandon and Joshua Hageness, Nicole (Blaine) Hageness-Glover, and Joe (Abbey) Krumrie. Also very special to her were her great grandchildren, Haylie and Maycie Hageness, and Lane Glover. She took great joy in seeing the next generation grow. Her life mattered to her familly and friends, she was funny and stubborn. Janet will be sadly missed by her friends and family, including her brother Robert “Bob” (Diane) Laus, and best friend Randee Blackburn. She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandchildren Kaylin and Steven Krumrie. A private memorial service will be held in Milwaukee.
