Jane M. Thorson

Jane (Johnson) Thorson, age 70 of Eleva, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at her home of ovarian cancer surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 29, 1945 in Mondovi, the daughter of Josie and Alfred Johnson. Jane graduated from Mondovi High School with the class of 1963 and on June 24, 1965 she was united in marriage to Thomas Thorson. They have enjoyed 50 years together and were recently able to celebrate their 50th anniversary last year. To this union, two loving sons were born, Dale and Greg. Jane enjoyed a career for many years at NMC Wollard and Menards Distribution Center. The greatest gift that Jane could have ever received was her family and her four precious grandchildren. Jane will be greatly missed by her husband, Tom of Eleva; sons, Dale (Teresa) of Osseo and Greg (Bobbi) of Bloomers; twin sister, Judy Weishaar; brother, Bob Johnson; mother-in-law, Yvonne Thorson, grandchildren, Cloe and Tylor and Bailey and Hannah; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Arthur and Walter Johnson and sister, Mary Ann Thompson. A memorial service will be held at Trinity of Norden Lutheran Church on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Christine Emerson of St. John's Lutheran Church, Eau Claire officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. A time of gathering of family and friends will be held at church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
