James Bryan Young

James “Jim/Jamie” B. Young, of Mondovi, WI passed away unexpectedly April 9, 2023 at the age of 47 from an unclear medical reason.

He was born on Flag Day in 1975 to James and Edith Klingel/ Young.  He grew up in the Gilmanton, Mondovi, and Arcadia areas and graduated from the Arcadia High School.

He traveled over the road driving semi for 25 years.  Then after a serious infection in his leg, he left long distant trucking for other occupations in the area.  He was proud to serve his previous community as a firefighter and first responder.  At the time of his death, he was self-employed as the owner/operator of the Nite Train Party Bus service.   He was also known for his woodworking projects, which included a number of hand-crafted picnic tables.

James enjoyed life simply, with his pets.  He was grateful for good neighbors and his cousin, Dan and Andi for helping him out with them at times.

It was a rare occasion when he wasn’t picking on or poking at someone, but he had a good heart and a willingness to help others.

James will be sadly missed by his daughter: Hannah Berg; siblings: Dawn (Randy) Moy, Randy (Rachel) Quarberg, Ryan (Lucia) Young; Auntie Betty and Uncle Doug Quarberg; nephew and nieces: Tyler (Ashley) Moy, Courtney (Dan) Shirer, Ali Quarberg, and Carsyn Quarberg; cousins; great nephews, great nieces, pets; and some good friends we have heard from since his passing.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, grandparents, and his dog Daisy.

A Graveside Service for family and friends will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 6th at the Gilmanton Cemetery, State Hwy 88, followed by fellowship at the Gilmanton Legion Post 264, W738 County Rd B.  Talbot Family Funeral Homes – Scenic Rivers Cremation Center of Mondovi assisted the family. www.talbotfuneralhomes.com
