Jack R Walsh

Jack R. Walsh, age 87 of Eau Claire, WI formerly of the Town of Drammen, Rural Mondovi, WI passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2013 at Mayo Health System in Eau Claire, WI. Jack was born on June 26, 1925 in Chippewa Falls, WI to John and Lydia (Barton) Walsh. Jack married Jean Goulette and to this union three children were born. On August 21, 1968 Jack was united in marriage to June Six on August 21, 1968 in Ashland, VA Jack honorably served our country during WWII as a member of the United States Army. He was a 17 year employee at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire as a maintenance mechanic. Following his employment at UWEC, Jack spent the next 16 years as an employee for the City of Eau Claire. Jack was a member of the Drammen Lutheran Church, Town of Drammen. Before relocating to Oakwood Hills in Eau Claire, Jack was a resident at the Homeplace in Mondovi. Surviving Jack are his children, Michael Jon (Melanie), of La Center, WA, Christina Mary Walsh and Mark Daniel both of Portland, OR; grandchildren, Rien Walsh-Jordan, Matthew D. Walsh, Heather R. Walsh, one brother, Lawrence; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jack was preceded in death by his wife June, his parents, his brother William, and two sisters, Annabelle and Mildred. Funeral Service will be at the Talbot Family Funeral Home in Mondovi on Monday, June 17, 2013, at 3:00 PM, with visitation 1 hour prior to service.
