Ivenetta "Iva" Kennebeck

Ivenetta M. “Iva” Kennebeck, age 93, of Winona, formerly of Fountain City, WI passed away on Thursday May 31, 2018 at St. Anne’s Extended Care, Winona, MN. She was born on November 27, 1924 in Mount Pleasant Township, Wabasha County, MN a daughter of Fred and Margaret (Lohn) Glander. Iva was baptized on Christmas day in 1924 in Mount Pleasant Township by T.H. Albreekt. She was confirmed on April 27, 1941 at St. John Lutheran Church by E. Abelmann. Iva attended Alma Schools. On October 25, 1945, Iva was united in marriage to Clarence Kennebeck by Rev. H. Nommenseen at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Fountain City. To this union, 4 children were born. Clarence preceded Iva in death on October 7, 1991. Iva worked at the Golden Frog Supper Club for 16 years. She also worked at Winona Knitting Mills also at the Winona Hotel as a waitress for four years. Iva was a member of Dr. Martin Luther Church in Buffalo City, WI. Iva is survived by her daughter, Phyllis (Phillip) Lurkowski; three sons, David (Janina) Kennebeck, Dennis (Sharon) Kennebeck and Dale (Debi) Kennebeck; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Delores Sutter and Shirley (Roger) Meier; brother, Richard Glander; sister in law, Nancy Glander; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband Clarence, Iva was preceded in death by 5 sisters, Eldona Stuber, Wilma Waskowiok, Luella Kuehn, Marcella Sass and Harriet Oesau; 3 brothers, Fred Glander, Melvin Glander and LeRoy Glander. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Christ Lutheran Church, Cochrane, WI with Pastor Mark Wilde officiating. Burial will be at Fountain City Public Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until the hour of the service all at the church. .
