Isla Mae Janett, age 90 of Alma, entered into eternal life on Saturday February 11 at her home
Isla was born August 29, 1921 in Winona, a daughter of Nicoli and Leila (Loomis) Nelson.
Isla graduated from Alma High School in 1939.
On April 8, 1939 Isla married LeRoy George Janett. Isla worked for 36 years as the bookkeeper and treasurer for the Tenney Telephone Company.
Isla enjoyed gardening, wildlife, cooking and shopping. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Alma. Isla is survived by her sons Leigh Janett of Milwaukee and David (Barbara) Janett of Union Grove WI; her daughter Corinne Janney of Goose Creek, SC; six grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; 2 nephews and many cousins.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Isla will be held on Saturday February 18 at 3:00 PM at St. John Lutheran Church in Alma with Pastor Joel Bacon officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
Following the service on Saturday, everyone is invited to come together at the Alma Rod & Gun Club to share, commemorate and celebrate Isla’s wonderful life with food, fellowship, music and drink starting at 4:00 PM and going to 7:00 PM
