Ilona Marie Moen

Ilona Marie “Loni” Moen, age 71, of Cochrane, WI,  beloved wife of Donald Moen, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Winona Health Hospital.  Ilona “Loni” Moen was born November 12, 1952 in Heilbronn Germany. Ilona was united in marriage to Donald Moen, and to this union of the past 42 years, they were blessed with 8 children, Tamara(Scott) Ziarnik, Tabetha(Nathan) Fischer, David Fischer, Ryan (Carolyn) Moen, Rachel (Nick) Hauswirth, Jenny (Jess) Raine, Troy (Amy) Moen, Josh (Amberly) Moen, 35 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, Ilona is further survived by her Sisters Cindy(Troy) Evans, Ronnie (Mike) Shulfer; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.   Ilona was preceded in death by her mother, father, mother in law, father in law, brother in law, aunts, uncles and cousins. Ilona Graduated Colby High School in Colby, WI in 1966. Following her graduation from high school, Ilona proudly served her Country, enlisting in United States Marine Corps. In 1996, Ilona and her family moved to Buffalo County and shortly after their move, She began working for the Corp of Engineers, a career that spanned for 25 years. Ilona loved spending time with her family and taking care of her numerous plants. She enjoyed and would always look forward her yearly trip to spend quality time with her sisters to play trivia. She also enjoyed her trips to the casino with her husband, Don and traveling to various places to see her family. A celebration of Ilona's life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Drift Inn at Indian Creek, S2945 Indian Creek Road, beginning at 2:00 PM.
