Hope L. Weber, age 89 of Mondovi, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the American Lutheran Home, Mondovi. Hope was born on November 12, 1927 in Mitchell, South Dakota to Harry and Gertrude Farver. She lived in Fairchild until age 11. Hope's father passed away from Mustard Gas from World War I. Her mother remarried to Alfred Boyea. Then she lived in the town of Wilson and then the Mondovi area. She married Marcellus L. Weber on May 22, 1948. They farmed until 1960 and moved to the City of Mondovi where Hope worked in Insurance for approximately 30 years. Once retire, Hope had a lot of crafts and was involved in several craft shows, selling her trinkets which she enjoyed. She was also the secretary and treasurer of Oak Park Cemetery; where she marketed and sold gravesites from 1988 until 2009. Hope and Marcellus went to Branson every year for vacation, sometimes twice a year. They both loved seeing all the shows.
Hope is survived by her husband of 69 years, Marcellus; son, Robert (Liz) Weber of Holmen; daughter, Linda (Bruce) Gray of Mondovi; grandchildren, Scott (Mamiko) Weber, Mark (Cathy) Parr, Michelle (Levi) Peck, Adam Fox, Nicholas (Tiffany) Gray, Sarah Clower and Carlos Aguilar and; great grandchildren, Gabriel Parr, Uriah Peck, Phoenix, Alexander and Grace Clower, Casey, Cameron and Gavin Fox and Nina, Layla and Mia Weber; half-sister, Naoma Mike of Hastings, MN; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father; half-sister, Edith Ann; daughter-in-law, Gloria Weber and granddaughter, Julie Fox and Nicola Rae Parr.
According to Hope's wishes, there will be no funeral service. The will be a memorial gathering at Talbot Family Funeral Homes - Mondovi Chapel on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 2:00 - 5:00 PM. Private burial will be held at Oak Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Hope requested memorial donations instead.
